Lucas Silveira had the pleasure of performing alongside some of the music industry’s power houses last Saturday, December 7th at
Cyndi Lauper and Friends HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS at New York City’s epic Beacon Theatre.
He joined the ranks of Lauper herself, Pink, Nelly Furtado, Matt & Kim, Rosie O’Donnel, The Indigo Girls, Josh Groban and the list goes
Lauper’s amazing band headed by William Whitman gladly lent their talents as the backing band supporting Silveira through a performance of Cliks fans favourite “Oh Yeah”.
We’re happy to announce that Silveira received a mention in the night’s highlights in The Hollywood Reporter from writer Frank Scheck:
“Highlights included the Indigo Girls, joined by singer/songwriter Matt Nathanson, performing their classic “Closer to Fine” as well as “The Wonder Song”: The Cliks, led by transgender singer Lucas Silveira, ripping through “Oh Yeah”; Furtado delivering an emotive “Try”; Nathanson showcasing his sensitive folk rock on “Come On Get Higher” and “Kinks Shirt”; and Michaelson warbling a touching “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
This takes 2013 out with a bang as Lucas’ last performance of the year.
Thank you to all who came to support such an amazing cause and for making it an amazingly memorable night for all involved!
